Eddie Nicholson is an attorney licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Georgia. He attended Davidson College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude. He obtained his law degree from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Nicholson has extensive experience in both individual and class action litigation on a variety of topics, including benefits disputes affecting current and retired employees. He has knowledge and experience in litigating both administrative claims and subsequent court actions under ERISA, the federal law that governs most disputes based on employee benefits or insurance provided by employers. He also has extensive litigation and compliance experience on the subjects of consumer and secured lending. Among the many subject matters currently being fought in court or in the administrative claims process are:

• Suit to obtain medical monitoring benefits from current and former employer because of past or continuing workplace exposures to toxins
• Suit to prevent an employer from discontinuing or cutting back medical benefits for retirees
• Suit challenging an employer’s conversion of their employees’ retirement benefit plan to a less favorable one
• Suits based on employee toxic exposure and the household exposure of loved ones
• Claims based on improper denial of disability coverage
• An action by an individual whistleblower, brought on behalf of the government, based on violation of the False Claims Act in which a medical device manufacturer is alleged to have perpetrated a multiple million dollar fraud on the government by offering credits on the purchase or replacement of devices and then failing to give those credits, thereby causing hospitals who purchased those devices to violate the law by failing to deduct those credits from their applications to the government’s Medicare or Medicaid programs.
